Written from the point of view of a twenty-something university student from the West Coast of Canada, Classy and True, is an exploration of the ways in which we treat one another. The primary focuses are language and manners; actions and gestures; and attitude. Really, this blog is about treating our fellow humans well and remembering that we are not the center of the universe. Call it what you like, but there is a certain amount of class in being a well-functioning member of society. In a world where being rude and ignorant of others is the norm, the classy, polite, graceful people are the ones we remember. Maybe after a few months of following this blog, you’ll see a pattern or maybe you’ll think that manners don’t matter. It’s up to you. Just give Classy and True a try and see if you change your outlook or behaviour or realize that you’re actually a very polite, respectful human being.
There are also “Journal” posts about every week or so. That is because this site is actually part of a publishing class at a local university and is essentially a semester-long assignment. For this reason, there may be a slight learning curve which you might notice in the posts and general “techiness” of Classy and True.
Read on and enjoy,
